This is one of the little gems of Sydney bushland which never seems to be without a flower. It is only a small shrub growing to about 1.5 metres and can often be seen along roadsides and in open rocky sandstone places where there seems to be no soil. The flowers have a nice honey scent and the bees are always in attendance around them. The ideal garden planting would be in a group of three to make any impact or it could be used as an informal low hedge.
